MDPCL empowers women through sustainable development, engaging 5000 SHG members in diverse livelihood initiatives.

Maa Durgadevi Producer Company Limited (MDPCL) is a women-led Farmer Producer Company established in 2016 in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha. The company works to improve the livelihoods of tribal women by promoting sustainable income-generating activities, value addition, and market linkages. MDPCL primarily focuses on sal leaf plate production, wild honey collection and processing, Mahua value-added products, livestock promotion (goat and poultry). The organization currently reaches over 2310 active women members across 34 villages in four blocks of Mayurbhanj and has received several recognitions, including the State Best FPO Award from the Government of Odisha and an 'A' Grade rating from NABARD, for its contribution to women’s economic empowerment and rural development.

The achievements of MDPCL:

• Production of Natural Sal leaf plates at different shapes.

• Established marketing tie-up at national level agency and traders.

• Fastest growing women FPO in India among the tribal communities

• Poultry farming and fish farming in the farm pond

• Providing daily employment to 100 women’s in production of Sal leaf plate

• making and 300 women’s in Sal leaf Fine stitching activities across Mayurbhanj district.
